Carbon Reduction Plan
1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
SW Project Management Limited (SWPM) is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2044–2045. This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our baseline emissions, progress to date, and the actions we will take to continue reducing emissions across our operations and value chain. We will review and update this plan annually.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint (2022)
Our baseline year is 2022. Emissions are calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol and reported across Scopes 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 categories.

Between 2022 and 2025, SWPM reduced total operational and relevant value‑chain emissions by approximately 43%. Reductions have primarily been driven by lower‑carbon travel choices, decreased energy consumption, and improvements in procurement and waste practices.
4. Carbon Reduction Targets
We will continue to reduce absolute emissions in line with the targets below, with residual emissions neutralised through verified offsets as a last resort.

5. Measures Implemented to Date (2022–2025)
SWPM has already implemented a number of measures to reduce emissions:
- Transition away from petrol/diesel company vehicles, accelerating fleet electrification.
- Adoption of a 100% renewable electricity tariff for office operations.
- Hybrid working policy reducing commuting emissions and supporting digital‑first delivery.
- Paper‑light and cloud‑based systems to minimise printing and reduce travel.
- Office efficiency upgrades including LED lighting and PIR controls.
- Improved waste segregation, reuse and recycling within office operations.
6. Planned Measures and Forward Programme
SWPM will build on current progress through the following commitments:
- Complete transition of company fleet to EV/hybrid by 2030, supported by charging and travel policy.
- Maintain renewable electricity supply and continue energy efficiency improvements.
- Introduce a structured supplier engagement programme to obtain Scope 3 emissions data and support low‑carbon procurement.
- Embed whole‑life carbon thinking in project management services, prioritising MMC, low‑carbon materials, retrofit‑first approaches, and renewable‑ready designs.
- Consider ISO 14001 / SECR aligned reporting as our data maturity increases.
- Offset only residual emissions after all practical reductions have been achieved, with a focus on high‑quality verified schemes.
7. Governance and Reporting
The Director team is accountable for delivery of this Carbon Reduction Plan. Progress is reviewed quarterly and reported annually through our Carbon Footprint Reduction Strategy. Actions are assigned owners and tracked against KPIs, with corrective plans agreed where performance slips.
8. Declaration and Sign‑off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in line with PPN 06/21 reporting requirements and is supported by SWPM’s Carbon Footprint Reduction Strategy.
